The Ride for Research is an extraordinary cycling adventure in Cambodia that will help save lives and to improve the health and wellbeing of people living with bowel cancer by funding support programs and new research.
In October 2020, a passionate group of supporters will set off to Ride for Research in Cambodia and raise funds for Bowel Cancer Australia. By turning their passion into action, they’ll help fund research that could find new treatments or a cure for bowel cancer as well as programs to help Australians currently affected by the disease.
Water buffalo in rice paddies, UNESCO-listed Angkor Wat, bustling Siem Reap and traditional Khmer culture…Cambodia is a traveller’s delight. Over six days they’ll cycle 350 kilometres of Cambodian countryside, exploring local life off the beaten path and discovering the magnificent Angkor temple complex.
Together, they’ll raise funds for Bowel Cancer Australia research that could improve the lives of thousands of Australians.
This is an extraordinary opportunity to get involved, make a real difference and meet like-minded supporters. You don’t have to be an expert cyclist, or super fit. The Ride for Research is fully supported with local guides and crew and covers mostly flat terrain. You’ll have the next 12 months to train, fundraise, and get ready for the adventure of a lifetime.
The funds you raise by participating in the Ride for Research could fund the next breakthrough towards a cure for bowel cancer and help bring support programs to more Australians.
